frequently asked questions
-
Pour 4 oz directly into an empty drum (not the detergent dispenser). Run a full hot wash cycle with no clothes or detergent. That's it. The HOCl formula works through the cycle to break down odor and buildup.
-
Once a month is ideal for most households. If you notice odor between cleanings, or if you frequently wash in cold water, every two to three weeks can help stay ahead of buildup.
-
Yes. The formula is fully HE compatible and works in both front-load and top-load machines. It's also septic safe.
-
No. Hypochlorous acid is gentle on rubber gaskets, seals, hoses, and drum surfaces. It's far less corrosive than bleach-based machine cleaners.
-
Neither. The formula is completely fragrance-free and rinses clean, leaving no scent or chemical residue on your drum or future loads.
-
Bacteria, mold, and detergent buildup thrive in the warm, damp environment inside your washer. Fragrance-heavy cleaners mask the problem. HOCl eliminates the bacteria and biofilm causing the odor.
-
No. For best results, run the cleaner in an empty drum on a hot cycle. This ensures the formula reaches all internal surfaces, gaskets, and the drain system.
